Reports to: General Sales Manager

Full-Time Position / M-Sat (hours & days will vary)

Summary: The Sales Manager is responsible for supervising and motivating salespeople and
promoting and encouraging strategies to sell cars and other vehicles. They perform typical
manager duties, such as organizing schedules, training, interviewing, hiring, and setting goals.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all salespeople
  • Directs sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs
  • Establishes annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit
  • Monitors salesperson productivity and performance
  • Develop and manage a CRM platform to retain customers and seek out new prospective sales
  • Administers and monitors factory-sponsored programs
  • Reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs, and volume potential, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the dealership
  • Serves as liaison between sales department and other departments
  • Attends managers meetings as requested
  • Ensures sales floor and sales lot is organized and presentable
  • Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings 
  • Maintain professional and courteous attitude, wardrobe, and grooming
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • GED required
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training preferred
  • Proven knowledge of effective sales strategies and best practices
  • Strong organizational skills, able to multitask, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Outgoing and service-oriented attitude
  • Proficient in basic math skills
  • Capable of effective communication with customers and employees; reading/understanding manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety regulations; and writing reports and other correspondence
