Description

Reports to: Office Manager

Schedule: Full-Time Position

M-F (7:30AM - 4:30PM)

 

Summary: The Payroll Administrator compiles and maintains payroll records for both union and non-union employees. They are responsible for accurately entering information into accounting ledgers and providing accurate reporting to the Office Manager.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Compiles payroll data such as hours worked; sales volume; bonuses, and commissions; monies to be withheld for taxes; employee contributions to insurance and retirement plans; etc., from time sheets and other records
  • Updates master payroll records by verifying and recording changes affecting net wages such as federal and state tax exemptions, insurance coverage, etc., and data concerning compensation increases, promotions and/or transfer of employees between departments
  • Prepares and issues paychecks
  • Keeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wages
  • Conducts Paylocity employee benefit verifications
  • Ensures via frequent auditing that employee files are complete and up-to-date
  • Prepares/files all hiring and termination paperwork including COBRA letters
  • Maintains records for paid-time-off and sick-day eligibility
  • Processes all employee insurance forms and insurance payments in coordination with office manager
  • Understands employee payroll issues, and communicates solutions effectively, professionally, and respectfully 
  • Coordinate and complete all aspects of the onboarding process for new hires
  • Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings 
  • Maintain professional and courteous attitude, wardrobe, and grooming
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree required 
  • Two years related experience required
  • Accounting experience/knowledge required 
  • Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficient in basic math skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Salary Description
Range of $22/HR - $24/HR or based on experience
