Service Technician

Location: Collinsville, IL, 62234

Job Description:

The Service Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, including but not limited to HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and commercial kitchen equipment. The technician will diagnose problems, replace or repair defective parts, and test equipment to ensure proper functioning. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all work performed and communicating with customers regarding the status of their equipment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a related field
• Certification in HVAC or refrigeration
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment
• Experience with electronic controls and systems

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
