SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS COLLEGE TO HOST 24th ANNUAL GOLF SCRAMBLE BENEFITTING CHUCK WHITEHEAD SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Belleville, IL – Southwestern Illinois College’s (SWIC) Sam Wolf Granite City Campus Annual Golf Scramble will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at Far Oaks Golf Course in Caseyville, IL. On-sight registration begins at 8 a.m. and tournament tees off at 9 a.m. All proceeds will benefit the Chuck Whitehead Scholarship Fund and supports those attending classes at SWIC’s Sam Wolf Granite City Campus.
In 2007, longtime Sam Wolf Granite City Campus Executive Director Chuck Whitehead established a golf tournament to help fund a scholarship, supporting students especially attending SWIC’s Granite City Campus. Upon his retirement in 2013, the golf tournament and scholarship were renamed in his honor, continuing a legacy of support, and ensuring students achieve their educational and career goals without financial burden.
This year’s 18-hole, four-person scramble is $120 per person, with a tax-deductible portion. Entry fees include green fee and cart, driving range, drink tickets, lunch, attendance prizes and more!
Sponsorship opportunities are available. Team registrations are available online and in-person on the day of the event. For registration and information, please call 618-235-2700 ext. 7341 or visit swic.edu/college-event/swgcc-golf-scramble/.
