New Employees Join Oates Associates

Collinsville, IL (March 31, 2026) - Oates Associates, Inc. – a 100% employee-owned civil and structural engineering and surveying firm – welcomes two new team members building their careers in engineering, Owen Uyemura, EI and Makenzie Wright, EI.

Uyemura and Wright join Oates Associates as Associate Project Designers, supporting transportation and civil/site projects, respectively. Uyemura brings internship experience evaluating needed repairs and monitoring construction activities on a bridge project for a transportation agency, as well as contributing to stormwater and sanitary sewer work for a stormwater and wastewater agency. Wright previously supported site development for a range of facility types at an engineering consulting firm, with responsibilities in site and drainage design. Building on this early experience, Oates Associates looks forward to supporting their continued professional growth as they help deliver projects that strengthen local communities.
