Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the timely, efficient, and accurate repair of machines and equipment with the ability to perform in all areas of their employment as listed below under key responsibilities. The Maintenance Technician will be assigned a routine, where he/she will work the majority of their daily schedule as well as perform work in additional area(s) as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective communication both verbally and written
- Observe and report machine & technical problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to operate all surfacing equipment unsupervised to include but not limited to air compressors, blockers, polishers, generators, engravers, non-dip backside coaters & Microsoft windows-based computers.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and simple repairs unsupervised on all above listed equipment and other equipment and devices as needed.
- Will perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor to include but not limited to: cleaning, trash removal, general electrical- plumbing –mechanical tasks as needed.
- Ability to read blueprints, maintenance guides and exploded drawings.
- Will comply with reasonable overtime requests as necessary.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year experience within the Digital Eye Lab or technical or manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in a technical or manufacturing maintenance environment.
