Paint the Uptown

Paint the Uptown is brought to you by Qunitons Crafthouse and Collinsville Chamber of Commerce will be held in Uptown Collinsville on October 19th.

Painters will take over the sidewalks throughout Uptown Main Street by painting designated spaces. Each painter will be assigned a space and can use adjacent spaces as their prep station. 

The day includes more than just painting, bring the family up to enjoy family fun activities located at the Collinsville Library parking lot and visit participating Uptown businesses that have specials to enjoy. 

Painter Pricing:

• Each registration will receive one event shirt (additional shirts will be available to purchase) one paint supply bucket that includes (bucket, paints and brushes)

• Tickets are transferrable but non-refundable. A rain date is scheduled for October 26th should the weather be unfavorable.

• Organization/Club Space: $75
  • Includes 5 space that can hold up to 12 people
• Competitive Space: $40

  • This category will have access to an endless amount of paint, will be judged and announced at end of the event. 

Winners will receive:

FAQ

What are the design requirements?

• Can only include decorative design, patterns, logos, characters, portrait. It is completely up to you but it must be family friendly.

• Cannot paint images perceived as hurtful, harmful or hateful or political commentary. We do retain the right to remove or request edits, at our discretion, to any content that is not appropriate for the general public.

Where are we painting?

• Paintings will be located on the sidewalks from the Collinsville Library to the end of the block near 159. Spaces will be numbered, assigned and given to you at registration. There will be adjacent spaces be left open to use as prep station. The sidewalk closest to the buildings will remain clear of any items for pedestrian use. Any items in the way will be asked to move.

Who can paint?

• Everyone! Businesses, individuals, families, clubs, friends the entire community is welcomed. 

What can I bring from home?

• Items to kneel/sit on while painting to make it more comfortable.

• Your own stencils, brushes or chalk.

What is the timeline for the day? 

• 10:30am – Registration begins. Painters will receive space number and bucket of supplies.

• 11am – 5pm: Activities at the Library will be open and observers are welcome to walk around and see beautiful artwork. Take advantage of all that Uptown has to offer from restaurants, mural photo opportunities and shopping, some participating businesses will offer specials and sales.

• Once painters are done painting return supply bucket to registration table.

• Time remaining warnings will be given at 4:30 and 4:45pm. All painting stops at 5pm.

• 5:00 pm will begin judging for the Competition Paintings and public judging for People’s Choice
