Kids Day at Cahokia Mounds

Learn about Native American culture with hands-on activities.  Throw spears with an atlatl, play the court game 'Chunkey', identify pelts and animal tracks, listen to Native American stories, make a clay pinch-pot to take home, get your face painted, make an arrow point out of chert and learn how pre-Columbian people made ceramic pottery.  This is a free event at Cahokia Mounds, but there is a fee for the T-Shirt making booth.  The Cheese Shack, a popular STL Food Truck, will be here.  Free souvenir photos will be provided by TapSnap.
