American Indian Educational Days

   American Indian artists, craftspersons, demonstrators, performers and more.  Booths will be set up in the Cahokia Mounds Interpretive Center where they will:

  • demonstrate crafts such as beadwork
  • sell Indian-made jewelry
  • display clothing and dance regalia
  • discuss current American Indian issues, customs, beliefs, and traditions
  • explain educational and career opportunities
  • storytelling and other performances
This event is sponsored by American Indian Educational Resources of St. Louis
   The Missouri Atlatl Association will hold its annual competition and demonstration of this ancient spearthrowing device.  The public is invited to observe the competition, which is held in the Plaza Area of Cahokia Mounds.
