DESCRIPTION:Miners Theatre will be selling ornaments ($15) and Tshirts at The Nutcracker presented by Turning Pointe Academy of Dance at Collinsville High School\n\n\n\nDecember 17th\n\n2:00 pm\n\n7:00 pm\n\n\n\n\n\nEach holiday season Turing Pointe Academy of Dance brings to life Tchaikovsky's ballet\, The Nutcracker. This year we are adding a contemporary twist to the holiday classic. The performance spotlights local young dancers and brings this quintessential holiday story to life in the community. The Nutcracker is the story of a young girl who receives a magical nutcracker on Christmas Eve. The story unfolds as she dreams of a battle between toy soldiers and an army of mice. Her dream takes her to The Land of Snow where she encounters beautiful dancing snowflakes. Next she visits The Land of Sweets and witnesses a celebration complete with waltzing flowers and global dancers.
