SUMMARY:Finding Your Roots at the Collinsville Library
DESCRIPTION:New and experienced genealogists are invited to join the History and Genealogy Club of Collinsville.\n\n \n\n   The club is a friendly group of people who share an interest in genealogy and local history.  All are welcome to share findings and resources.  Each meeting focuses on a different topic such as immigration or family stories.  Meetings are held once monthly on Thursdays at 6:00 PM at the Collinsville Memorial Library Center.\n\n \n\nUpcoming topics are:\n\n\n	September 24   Genealogy in Fiction and Entertainment (spotlight on Ronald Reagan)\n	October 22   Women in Genealogy (spotlight on Juliette Gordon Low)\n	November 19   Collinsville Library (spotlight on the Library of Congress)\n	December 17   Christmas (spotlight on Santa Claus)\n\n \n\nFor more information\, please call the library at 618-344-1112 or visit the main desk.\n\n \n\nThe library is located at 408 West Main Street and is a member of the Mississippi Valley Library District.\n\n \n\n \n\nAbout the Library District\n\n \n\n   The Mississippi Valley Library District has served the Collinsville area since 1915 and the Fairmont City area since 2004. In addition to books\, movies\, and music\, the Library District provides free access to e-books\, e-magazines\, video games\, and streaming music and movies.  The Library District is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System and the SHARE resource sharing consortium\, which connects over 400 libraries in southern and central Illinois.
