DESCRIPTION:Collinsville\, IL  Locally born and nationally recognized artist Ted Blaylock will be at the Blum House for an art show on Friday\, May 6 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.\n\n \n\nBlaylock opened his own art studio and gallery in Collinsville in 1969 before moving to Arizona in 1972 to further his career.  For the past 30-plus years\, Blaylock's nature-inspired art has graced homes and galleries throughout the country and abroad.  He has used his art to support nature preservation groups such as the National Wildlife Foundation and the Arizona Nest Watch Program.  Blaylock's work is now available through the Bradford Exchange alongside the works of other noted artists such as Thomas Kincade and Norman Rockwell.\n\n \n\nStop by for light refreshments\, good conversation\, and great art!\n\n \n\nThe Blum House is located at 414 West Main Street and is operated by the Mississippi Valley Library District.\n\n \n\n \n\nAbout the Library District\n\n \n\nThe Mississippi Valley Library District has served the Collinsville area since 1915 and the Fairmont City area since 2004.
